Corrigendum to "Taxonomies of Model-Theoretically Defined Topological Properties"
An error has been found in the cited paper; namely, Theorem 3.1 is false. 1. I would like to correct a simple, but serious, error in [1]; namely Theorem 3.1 therein is quite false: It can happen that there are compact Hausdorff spaces X and Y with X Y (indeed X Y) but X T, Y. I am most grateful to Lutz Heindorf for communicating [3] the following straightforward example: Let X and Y be any two ...
متن کاملTaxonomies of Model-Theoretically Defined Topological Properties
A topological classification scheme consists of two ingredients: (1) an abstract class X of topological spaces; and (2) a "taxonomy", i.e. a list of first order sentences, together with a way of assigning an abstract class of spaces to each sentence of the list so that logically equivalent sentences are assigned the same class. X, is then endowed with an equivalence relation, two spaces belongi...
متن کاملTopological properties of some sequences defined over 2-normed spaces
The paper investigates some classes of real number sequences over 2-normed spaces defined by means of Orlicz functions, a bounded sequence of strictly positive real numbers, a multiplier and a normal paranormed sequence space. Relevant properties of such classes have been investigated. Moreover, relationships among different such classes of sequences have also been studied under various paramet...
متن کاملTopological Superconductor : A Review Theoretically & Experimentally
There is a saying that theoretical constructions never go beyond experimental works in superconductor field. However, with recent year’s tremendous development of topological material, scientists realized that topological states of matter can actually be widespread, and hence the idea of topological superconductor became much more interesting and hence numerous theoretical works within the fram...
متن کاملA Hierarchical Music Genre Classifier Based on User-defined Taxonomies
A system for classifying audio files according to music genre has been thoroughly evaluated within the MIREX 2005 Audio Description Contest. The system is based on a hierarchical classifier and on automatic feature selection. The results of the contest evaluation are presented here and compared with a previous evaluation performed by the authors.
